I finally started reading 'The Secret History,' and holy moly, y'all…I finally understand what all of those TikTokers were going on about in 2020! If you've never heard of this book, it's about a group of Classics students at a small liberal arts University in Vermont who descend into an inescapable spiral of murder and betrayal. That description I wrote makes it sound like a super lame book that TikTokers would like, but I swear that us normies can also have fun with it. A big aspect of it is that these elite, rich, and intelligent students don't feel like they don't deserve to be punished for killing a man because he's a stupid townie and his life isn't as important. I'm sure that those of you who study ancient history for fun and enjoy scrolling through ancient history memes don't think your life is worth more than others, so have fun scrolling away!
